Attendance is a crucial part of being on the GLSD cheerleading team. Not only is it important for the team to refine routines and cheers, but it also helps build trust and accountability among team members. We take attendance seriously and expect all team members to make a consistent effort to attend practices and games.

Cheerleading is a team sport, and we need everyone’s participation to execute our routines and stunts. Your attendance is extremely important!
PRACTICE ATTENDANCE POLICY
-
It is highly encouraged to attend as many practices as possible. Line placement, stunting, and tumbling will be at the coach's discretion. Cheerleaders who miss frequently may not be permitted to stunt due to safety reasons.
-
Cheerleaders will still be responsible for learning what they missed by watching videos on BAND/YouTube.
-
Upon commencement of Heat Acclimation Week, practice attendance is mandatory. Athletes are permitted a maximum of two absences. Any missed practice, particularly those covering new material (e.g., stunts), may result in a safety assessment by the coaching staff to determine the athlete's eligibility to participate.
GAME DAY ATTENDANCE POLICY
GAME DAYS: If a cheerleader misses any portion of a football game, they will sit out (in uniform with/ the coach or team mom) during the first quarter of the following game.
Fall: Practice calendars for September/October will become available soon.
