Attendance is a crucial part of being on the GLSD cheerleading team. Not only is it important for the team to refine routines and cheers, but it also helps build trust and accountability among team members. We take attendance seriously and expect all team members to make a consistent effort to attend practices and games.

Cheerleading is a team sport, and we need everyone’s participation to execute our routines and stunts. Your attendance is extremely important!

Updated June 25, 2024

"It has been brought to our attention that WPYFL does not allow us to have an attendance policy prior to July 27th.

As there are only 7 practices after that date, and many people have vacations planned in August, we have decided to drop the attendance policy for the 2024 season.

Cheerleaders will still be responsible for learning what they missed by watching videos on BAND/YouTube.

It is highly encouraged to attend as many practices as possible. Line placement, stunting, and tumbling will be at the coach's discretion. Girls who miss frequently may not be permitted to stunt due to safety reasons.

The Game Day policy will stay in effect for the 2024 Season.

GAME DAYS: If a cheerleader misses any portion of a football game, she will sit out (in uniform with/ the coach or team mom) during the first quarter of the following game.

This season, we will be recognizing and rewarding all cheerleaders with Perfect Game Day Attendance at the banquet. Perfect Attendance includes all regularly scheduled games

(Home & Away), JV Game requirements and any playoff games.

Fall: Practice calendars for September/October will become available soon. An attendance policy will be implemented for 5th/6th grade fall practices only.
